On January 29, 2024, the University of Aveiro, in collaboration with the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), held the DigEqual Project Multiplier Event. The event was attended by 20 IEFP trainees.
The main objectives of the Dig-Equal project are to contribute to knowledge of the factors that determine the use of online public services by the adult population and to develop training tools to encourage the use of online services. In this way, it aims to contribute to the goals of inclusion by increasing literacy, in line with the European goals of developing skills for the future, as set out in the Action Plan for Digital Education 2021-2027, launched by the European Union.
It is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, especially those relating to the reduction of inequalities and the development of sustainable cities and communities.
For about an hour, the participants were invited to devote their reflections to the topic of digital literacy, with particular emphasis on e-government. The feedback received from all those involved proved to be extraordinarily positive, highlighting the high level of interest shown by each participant in the topic covered, as well as their willingness to deepen their knowledge in order to achieve effective and safe autonomy in the use of the various e-Government platforms.
